We got tired of the same lie.

Every year, a new pan promised to be the safe one. Non-stick that would not flake. Ceramic that would not wear. A fresh label, a new coating, the same story. And every year, the coating broke down, and we bought another one.

At some point we stopped asking which coating was safest, and started asking a better question: why is there a coating at all?
